Bob Mills, Sound & Recording
This redesign project was a long overdue modernization of what the client called his "vanity site from the '90s," now revamped into a much more extensive small-business presence. We created image-filled galleries to showcase his client lists for concert/dance sound, live recording, studio recording, and editing/mastering. We also updated the web-ification of his renowned how-to publication All Mixed Up -- and, just for fun, embedded a google maps representation of his regular concert and dance locations.
Liz Toffey, Artist & Garden Designer
As an artist, this client wanted a redesign that would present her multifaceted self in line with her artistic sensibility. We created a Perl-driven image gallery for her watercolors, silkscreens, and other artworks, featuring a page of thumbnail images for each group of works and a detail-rich description page for the individual image, with added links among related works. In recognition of her additional roles as lecturer and writer, we added substantial content in these new sections of the site.
Vävstuga Swedish Weaving & Folk Arts
This project began as a site design for Becky's Väv Stuga, a weaving school and very small store for weaving supplies operated out of the client's home. Since then both the site and the business have grown tremendously; the business has changed its name and moved to a beautiful new dedicated location. We now offer an extensive catalog of looms and equipment, a monthly News update and mailing list, instructional "mini-movies" hosted by YouTube, a studio-time reservation system based in google calendar, and a multitude of other features. We've continued to develop and expand this site ever since we first created it in 2002, as the needs and capabilities of the business steadily evolve.
Pioneer Valley Dermatology
For this medical practice we created a clean, straightforward and informative site to fit the client's aesthetic. We've incorporated numerous updates as the practice has augmented its staff and broadened its services. Patients can find online versions of any paper handouts they've received at the office, and learn more about the various laser treatments or aesthetician services that may be right for them.
